French Riviera

Mandelieu-la-Napoule

The driver’s guide

The mimosa capital, between the Esterel and the sea: a medieval castle rebuilt by an American sculptor, one of the oldest golf courses in France where you cross the river by ferry, six sandy beaches, and a flower festival that fills the town every February. The addresses I give my own passengers, each with its phone number, its website and directions.

Restaurants

⚠️ WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU BOOK: L'Oasis, the house that held two MICHELIN stars for decades, is no longer a fine-dining restaurant — it has become a gourmet counter, and its old website no longer responds. Mandelieu's star is now elsewhere.

The two addresses that matter

Both need booking. The first is in town, the second on the seafront.

Mandelieu-la-Napoule
ONE MICHELIN STAR, won in 2024 and kept in 2025: it is now the only starred table in Mandelieu. Chef BESSEM BEN ABDALLAH worked with Michel Del Burgo, Marc Meneau and Pierre Gagnaire before settling here. Mediterranean cooking, a terrace under plane trees, with a fountain.

Le Bistrot de l'Oasis
26 avenue Henry-Clews, Mandelieu-la-Napoule
What remains of the Oasis house: the bistro, facing the Mediterranean, with Alexis Noiret in the kitchen. Mediterranean cooking from local produce, at bistro prices. This is where to go if you wanted to « eat at L'Oasis » — the gastronomic table no longer exists in that form.

🚕 I'll drive you there — and I'll come back for you when the meal is over. Mandelieu stretches eight kilometres between the Siagne and the Esterel: nothing here is within walking distance.
